SPAL: Me, too. (He lowers his head.)
HB: Mummsy and daddy-o are leaving us with Lady J for two weeks.
SPAL: Hope she’s not like Dominatrix Lisa.
HB: Me, too.
SPAL: Hope she’s a nice lady.
HB: Yeah. Hope she likes to play fetch.
SPAL: Hope she let’s us sleep in bed with her.
HB: And, watch lots of television and eat Twizzlers.
SPAL: And, peanut butter and carrots.
HB: Wonder if we’ll get computer access.
SPAL: No. I heard daddy-o say he was taking it with them.
HB: Oh. That sucks.
SPAL: Yeah. I’m going to miss all my on-line friends.
HB: Me, too.
SPAL: But most of all, I’m going to miss mummsy and daddy-o.
HB: Do you think they’ll come back?
SPAL: I sure do hope so. They’re supposed to be back by September 14th.
Aw. Do you think they'll speak to you when you guys get back? Our last one--a golden--snubbed us at first.
