Today is Alex J. Cavanaugh's Insecure Writer’s Group where writers give each other huggy-hugs and kissity-kiss each others’ boo-boos. Or we can opt to encourage each other on our journeys in writing.
If there is one thing I love is a good piece of music to pull me out of a funk. One of my most favorite groups is The Beatles. So today, I thought I’d share the lyrics to The Yellow Submarine, hoping to get any of my fellow writers out of their dark place and back into a happy one.
I have to loppity-lop hair 9 to 5 today so I’ll be lurking around later this evening and tomorrow.
Hugs and chocolate,
Shelly
Thanks for the song...One of my favorite ones in a kind of, "Don't worry, be happy" way :)
ReplyDeleteYes. It is.
DeleteI'm going to need to turn on some other music to get it out of my head. It's stuck on repeat now.
ReplyDeleteTe hehehehehe
DeleteWe need a happy place if we're going to survive.
ReplyDeleteHappy is good.
DeleteThat's gonna be stuck in my head all day now. Good think I like the Beatles. =)
ReplyDeleteTehehehehe
DeleteThanks Shelly. I love that song because it's so happy!:)
ReplyDeleteGreat song, it is now stuck in my head. :)
ReplyDeleteTehehehehe
DeleteI also like this song! Happy "loppity-lop" hair time! There's no rhyme or reason why the humidity is my friend one day, and my enemy the next! Julie
ReplyDeleteI know that hair feeling.
DeleteMust... not... let... it... get... stuck... in... my... head!
ReplyDeleteSir Wills, have some fun.
DeleteHey Shelly!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Nothing inspires me more than listening to great music. The Beatles rock!
Yes. They do, PK.
DeleteThe Beatles stuff is evergreen! One of my faves is Can't Buy Me Love... I taught it to my choir of grades 4-7 children, but I added a groovy flavour to it. They LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteYou should Vlog it. I bet its cool.
DeleteThat song certainly takes me back to a younger day and brightens my mood. Music can do a great job of picking me up unless I'm in a major depressive state. That's not very often but it's been known to happen. Then I usually want silence and I write my own songs.

A Faraway View
When I get depressed, I write poems.
DeleteThat's a fun song. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought so, too.
DeleteGuess what will be playing in my head for the rest of the night? :)
ReplyDeleteIt's contagious. I know.
DeleteI have not heard that song since I was a child. I wonder what the significance of a yellow submarine is? Why does living in one bring about a life of ease? I would like to know. ;)
ReplyDeleteIf you want to be a beta reader for my novel, have the time, etc. that would be great. I'm going to proceed with formatting and such pretty soon. Thanks! and many happy hugs and chocolate in return!
Okie-Dokie:
DeleteSend it to my e-mail.
Definitely a happier day for me now. Brings back some old memories. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome.
DeleteI love that silly song. Music can cheer me up almost any day.
ReplyDeleteMe, too.
DeleteGreat song :)
ReplyDeleteYes. It is.
DeleteHmmm.. I'm not sure about the kissity kissing boo boos but I love the idea of a song to cheer us up. Yellow Submarine was never one of my favourites but it always cheers up a room of people. Ive blogged about song lyrics today too!
ReplyDeleteI saw that. i commented.
DeleteHope the loppity-lopping goes well!
ReplyDeleteIt usually does except for the peeps that are horrified of loppings.
DeleteLove a good hug and chocolate! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteYour welcome.
DeleteIronically, I've had that song stuck in my head for days, and I'm not sure why because I hadn't heard it in ages.

Love Starbuck's.
DeleteLove those hugs and chocolates!
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate are the best. Something no one can live without.
DeleteMusic can usually pull me out of a funk too. That and looking back at CP feedback. And chocolate. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm the same.
DeleteIt's weird, but I love that movie!
ReplyDeleteI loved all The Beatles movies. I got to stay up later to watch them when I was a kid.
DeleteLove it!! <3
