I apologize if I haven’t responded to your comments and for not being at your blogs to read. For one I had a family emergency to attend to with regard to my one of my daughters.
Secondly, Sir Poops-A-Lot isn’t well. Within the last 24 hours he’s lost all ability to walk and support himself. Three of his legs collapse when he tries.
I am a teary mess watching him go through this. Tomorrow we go back to the vet and hopefully they’ll be able tell me what’s wrong with him. Right now, he’s terribly depressed because he suddenly can’t do the fun things he likes to do.
So I’ll keep you all updated.
Later in the ink,
Shelly
I'm so sorry to hear he's not feeling well. Take care of him and yourselves and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you...
ReplyDeleteOh no, my heart sank when I read this! Hope SPAL recovers asap!
ReplyDeleteShelly, you and Sir are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh, this is breaking my heart. How tragic. Please keep us informed.
ReplyDeletePoor, poor little guy.
Dogs and cats can get sick so fast. It's like their lives have sped up before our very eyes. My prayers are with you, your family and of course, SPAL and HB....
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are having a couple of crises, don't worry. We will all be here when things settle.
ReplyDeleteHoping Sir Poops will be okay. I've had a couple of dogs. I know what you must be feeling, hon.
We'll keep pulling for the little guy to get better.
ReplyDeleteA doggie prayer just for him! :(
ReplyDeleteI kind of mention Hairball and have a link on my blog--when you get a chance to stop by.
Dang! I feel so bad for you.. and him, too. I hope he gets better,
ReplyDeleteTo everyone: Sir Poops-A-Lot thanks you for the well wishes. And yes, whatever has happened to him, happened fast. One day he's playing and running around stealing Hair Balls carrots and fighting over the new bed and then POWIE!
ReplyDeleteRight now he's lying in his bed, limp as a rag, staring at me. He's trying to tell me something. I know he is. He's also depressed since he can't walk and play. I've been trying to force ice cubes in him but he's not accepting real well. He's totally refusing water.
Anyway, I should know more tomorrow night. Before I go into work tomorrow, I'm dropping him off at the vets. They'll be performing tests. One thing I did learn today, he's got a heart murmur even though he tested negative for heartworms. So that was good news.
Will write more tomorrow.
Oh, no. I hope he feels better. That's got to be horrible to have to wait to take him to the vet.
ReplyDeletePoor thing. I'm sure lying with you is helping. Hope he gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. It's rough when a furbaby is ill. I hope the answers are positive and fixable.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your dog. They truly are our babies.

Apologies, I answered comments right away. For now, life has changed a bit. SPAL can't walk and has to wear diapers now. He's like a real baby now.
ReplyDeleteWill be calling the neurologist tomorrow.
