Sir Poops and Hair Ball: Authors for Oklahoma NEED Help

IMG_0527 SPAL: Sir Poops and Hair Ball here. We’re looking for your help.

HB: Yeah. Authors for Oklahoma have all their book bundles up.

SPAL: Yes. They do.

HB: They’ve got all kinds of genres. YA. Paranormal. Mommy books. Kid books. Mysteries. Thrillers. Memoirs. Poetry.  Lots of stuff.

SPAL: So, nice people. We’re asking that you grab the links below and help us Tweet.

HB: Yeah. Authors for Oklahoma have a goal to raise 2 thousand dollars. So far, they’ve only raised 100 dollars.

SPAL: That’s right. For a 10 dollar donation to The American Red Cross, peeps can put their names in a drawing for the bundles they’re interested in.

HB: Mummsy set up an account with Crowdrise to keep track of who donated what.

SPAL: Please grab the Tweets below.

Sir Poops and Hair Ball: ISWG-Insecure

0330111950-00SPAL: Good morning, nice people. Stupid and I are sad this morning.

HB: Yeah.

SPAL: We have no fur-peeps to interview. 0328111236-01

HB: Our calendar looks empty.

SPAL: We need your help to fill it up.

HB: Yeah. We do.

SPAL: Yeah. Where is the love? Which reminds me, Mummsy and friends, Norma Beishir and William Kendall put together Authors for Oklahoma. They put together some really great book bundles for 10 dollar donations to The American Red Cross, raffle-style.

HB: There all kinds of books, too. Mysteries, thrillers, suspense, kid books, paranormal, horror, drama, poetry, romance, and erotica.

You can find a group of bundles here

and

Here

SPAL: I can’t imagine not having my own bed, couch, and TV.

IMG_0264HB: Or if we lost our Mummsy and Daddy-o because of a big bad tornado or hurricane.

SPAL: So we hope peeps will visit, make a donation, and find a book bundle they would love to read.

HB: Yeah. And we hope there are some fur peeps who want to come visit us.

SPAL: Let us know in the comment box about an interview.

Sir Poops and Hair Ball: Winner, Winner, Chocolate Dinner and BWFF

IMG_0256SPAL: Hi, nice people. Today, stupid and I are announcing the winner from the cover reveal, The Partners’ Progeny, while I snuggle in these luscious pillows. Mmmmm….

The Partner's Prodigy

HB: It will be out July 1, 2013. You’re a pansy, pansy.

SPAL: Anyway, we wanted to thank the following for helping do the reveal:

Alex J. Cavanaugh

Michelle Wallace

Donna K. Weaver

Julie Flanders

Norma Beishir

William Kendall

Eve Gaal

Lorelei Bell

Gary Pennick

Joyce Lansky

HB: We did a drawing, too, for a 10 dollar Amazon card. Norma Beishir won. Yay for Miss Norma!

The boys clap their paws together and jump up and down!

SPAL: Before we go, we have a story to tell you.

HB: Yeah. About the two-legged BWFF.IMG_0251

SPAL: It must’ve been a Thursday evening not long ago.

HB: Yeah. Mummsy took us out for out night-night poops and pees.

SPAL: It had to be 10 o’clock. It was before school let out for the summer.

HB: There were three little boys roaming our street. Mummsy said they couldn’t have been any older than seven.

SPAL: So Mummsy asked if their Mummsy knew where they were.

HB: Yeah. That’s all Mummsy said.

SPAL: The little boys said nothing and we went home to get ready for night-night.

HB: Yeah. And we got our bedtime chewy-chews and Mummsy sang to us, gave us some lovey-love, and closed our door.

SPAL: And everything was quiet until, kaplunk, bang, slam, kaplunk!

HB: Yeah. It had me very upset. I thought I was going to have to kill someone.

SPAL: Ha! Anyway, Mummsy came for our help and we all ran down stairs. Someone was kicking and punching our front door.

HB: Yeah.

SPAL: Mummsy opened the door to a very mad BWFF. One hand was balled in a fist and the other one held a beer. Behind this person stood a red headed chick-that’s what Mummsy called her.

And Munmmsy says, “Can I help you, ladies?”

BWFF says, “Who do you think you are asking my son if I know where he is? That’s none of you f&%$#@! business!”

Mummsy looks at them both, while stupid here goes outside to get a belly rub from the enemy. And Mummsy says, “It’s a bit late for little boys to be outside without their parents.”

HB: Nah-uh.

SPAL: Did, too. Anyway, the BWFF starts to yell at my Mummsy, and I stood firm beside her baring my teeth, growling. Nobody hurts my Mummsy. SO Mummsy says, “Why don’t you ladies go home and sleep off your beers.”

By that time, stupid ran back into the house, and Mummsy shut and locked the door. But that BWFF says, “I’m going to call the cops on you for harassment,” while she’s punching and kicking our door.

And Mummsy says, “You do that and have a blast while you do it,” through the door.

HB: Yeah. But that bad old BWFF moved out this weekend.

SPAL: Thank God. The whole street is glad she’s gone. That’s our story. Anybody out there have a crazy neighbor story?

Before we go, we’d like to tell you that Authors for Oklahoma have their first bundles up over at Writers for Mass Distraction. This is a giveaway. Make a 10 dollar donation to the Crowrise link, your name goes into a drawing, and pick which bundle you’d like. This will run from June 25th to July 15th.

Alex J. Cavanaugh, The Insecure Writer’s Group: Storms

InsecureWritersSupportGroupOh boy! The first Wednesday of the month comes real fast. It’s time again for Alex J. Cavanaugh's Insecure Writer’s Group where we writers can either tell about what we’re afraid of or offer encouragement.

Today, I’m going to try and keep it short. It’s 6:16 AM at my house. All is silent up until 7 AM. I’ve got Glowstick again.

DSCN3085

And it looks like he’ll be staying around for awhile. I posted about it at my other blog last Friday over at Secondhand Shoes. Since that blog, I’ve learned that my daughter now stays drunk as much as she can and got back into mildly using her drug of choice-whatever that could mean.

We all have storms we go through. This one has been looming over me since I heard my daughter was expecting Glowstick. When he was four months old he lived with us for about eight weeks. The state was called and they did nothing in his defense to keep him safe which blew my court filings for custody out the window. The state had me return him because the county my daughter lives in wanted the case there-for funding purposes most likely.

So I ask that you all pray for Glowstick and my daughter as well. Me, too. I’m juggling and my insides are a little sick this morning because the state will be involved again.

Also, remember to pray for the Storm Sandy victims. My sister-in-law was one of them. She had two houses, one a rental, and the other vacation house, on The Shore were both flooded and smashed to smithereens. And her only son has autism. The storm has really rocked this kid’s world apart. The vacation house was used for his peace of mind and the family’s on the weekends. Now its gone.

And also, we all need to remember to keep this blogosphere in our prayers and send out positive thoughts to one another. Each one of us has our own personal storm that we struggle with and we need to remember that and not get mad if someone doesn't visit or comment on our posts. Crap happens. And sometimes certain things have to be set aside in order for those to get through the damage of their own personal storm.

So this blog is going on hiatus. I’m thinking up until January sometime. ***shrugs*** But I will read and comment as much as time will allow me between Glowstick, work, and getting Secondhand Shoes out there-and the writing of the next novel.

And please remember to give to the Red Cross. If everyone donated just a dollar, the people in need because of Storm Sandy would recover quicker.

Hugs and chocolate!

Shelly

PS I won’t be able to visit any blogs today. Apologies. But I’ll be around tomorrow and Friday. Crossing my fingers.
