HB: Oh yeah. So we can get some delicious foodies.

HB: Looks like the one below is snacking on some toes. Toe licking is good. I love Daddy-o'’s toes. No-No’s, too. They’re quite tasty.

SPAL: ***looks through a pile*** Ut-oh!

HB: What?

SPAL: I can’t find my interview.

HB: You did this last week with Gwen Gardner and Angela Brown. You’ve  got Alzheimer's for sure. Two times in a row. ***puts his paws on his hips*** And I hear Lorelei makes deadly chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cake. And now we don’t get any because of you.

SPAL: Sorry. ***He lowers his head*** Did you know she likes chocolate wine, too?

HB: Don’t think sorry and chocolate wine can change the subject either.

SPAL: Mummsy calls it a MORON-MOMENT. That’s better than Alzheimer’s.

HB: So what are you going to do to save our tales today? And get me some good nosh?

Unfortunately, This Blog is Going on Hiatus

Good morning, everyone!

Yup. I have to put my blogging on hiatus. For one, I’ve been given a mission to keep Glowstick safe and some how get my daughter straight (she’s in the above picture with Glowstick).

Within the last 48 hours, new info has surfaced on my daughter. It’s not good. Especially since, I’ve taken the time to get her into the programs she needs.

In her own way, she’s head butting the right thing to do and is choosing her toxic master. I can only hope and pray that this toxin won’t vomit out who she really is. Over my dead body, she loses herself to this demon.

I’ve had to make the decision to file for custody of my granson. Sadly, this will put her at odds with me but the baby is the innocent victim and has no say in his mother’s whims.

And I struggle with this…being at odds with my own daughter.

Today, I was going to post three great book reviews: Agnes Et Yves, by Patricia Herlevi, Bad Day, by Devon Cooper, and Vampire’s Trill, by Lorelei Bell. All three are great reads. Really. I loved each book. All well-written. That’s all I can do for now. Sorry, guys. I can barely focus at this moment.

Also, Lorelei Bell awarded me the Random Acts of Kindness Award, and I can’t even get my brain in order to do this properly, other than to say, thank you.

So for awhile I won’t be posting. I can’t do it all. The work, other peep’s edits, the baby, and getting Secondhand Shoes out. This all really sucks. Family comes first above all else.

But I will keep up with the blog reading/comments and from time to time I will keep you all informed on what’s going on until I can return fully.

Today, I have to prepare numerous documents for the courts that I’ll be filing on Tuesday. A lot of my time will be spent in the law library to aide me in acting as my own attorney on behalf of my grandson.

Glowstick needs me and so does my daughter.

Your prayers, positive thoughts, and aspirations are truly appreciated.

A Plethora of Things

I’m sooo excited because I won Lorelei Bell’s book, Vampire’s Trill. How cool is that?

Also, I will be hosting another Hot Men of Blogs this month, December 30, 2011. His magical name will be posted along with his blog address. Just think wands and fairy dust. I do when I read his posts.

As you can see, I’m still trying to figure out how to make pics with special announcements. I’ve got Picasso but does anyone have advice on how to REALLY use it?

Anyway….

Last night, I baked a Death By Chocolate cake and had to throw the darned thing out. The whole thing! It irked me after spending the money for the ingredients and then putting in the time to mix it up and bake it.

Which brings me to this thought. DID YOU EVER HAVE TO THROW A REALLY GOOD PART OF YOUR NOVEL OUT? Especially, after you toiled over it to get it right. Well, that’s what I’m doing now with mine. Tossing out or condensing some really great back story. Too much takes away from certain moments in your story so I’ve been told by the all-wise and knowing beta readers.

And it’s not that I’m tossing it out. Actually, I’m cutting and pasting it all into another doc for possible future use and/or shortening them up.

Today, I’m helping to celebrate Lorelei’s new book. The second book to  the Sabrina Strong Series, Vampire’s Trill. Happy dances, my friend! Happy dances!

Several months back I posted a review of her first book Vampire Ascending HERE. Which by the way, was so incredibly wonderful. Especially, all the hot men, vampires, shape shifters, and werewolves her main character could end up with.

Lorelei’s main character, Sabrina, also has a problem. She’s been marked twice by two different vampires and once by a werewolf. It’s possible she’ll become some kind of hybrid something-something. Plus, she’s a talented touch psychic.

Okay. So much for raving about the first book. I’m ready to read the next one and get all gushy-goo-goo over it.
