Sir Poops and Hair Ball are Helping with a Book Blast Today

Today I present Love is Never Past Tense
by Janna Yeshanova

About the Author
Originally from the former Soviet Union, Janna Yeshanova escaped to the United States when persecution became violent during the crumbling of the Soviet state. Arriving in the United States with her mother and daughter in tow, $126 in her pocket, and knowing not a soul, Janna’s talent and experiences have helped her become a high-end organizational training and development professional. Her exodus story is included in the book.
Founder and principal of Life-Spark, LLC, Janna is a dynamic and powerful life coach, premier trainer and motivational speaker. She leverages her passion and engaging style to help others overcome adversity and spark the possibilities of their lives.
Janna can be found online on the site of her life coach organisation and via the book site.

Synopsis

A couple's quick romance and hasty marriage is torn apart by family and fate, leaving them to face the collapse of the Soviet Union separately. Years later, old memories are stirred to give their love a second chance.

Serge and Janna's chance meeting at a Black Sea beach sparks a passionate romance and a quick marriage. Serge's parents, suspicious of Janna's motives and heritage, force him to break up with her. As the Soviet Union collapses, revealing ethnic and social pressures, each faces danger separately. Serge drowns in self doubt, his life spiraling down and in. Janna plots a dangerous exodus to America with her mother and daughter. Years pass, stirring old emotions, and changing circumstances give their love a second chance. Janna Yeshanova tells a life story, providing a very personal view of political and social change.

A remarkable second chance romance told with amazing realism in the style of a classic Russian novel.

To give you a short sample of the content of the book I'd like to share an excerpt with you.

The first time he saw her …
The first time he saw her, he silently followed her for a long time. She walked along easily, shifting her long, rather well-proportioned legs. Her thin leather skirt swung from side to side, barely hiding her shapely hips. A green blouse tightly covered her beautifully straight back. All the while, Serge followed her like she was a vision, lacking the courage to come closer or to back away. He knew that making her acquaintance was a long shot; she was simply out of his league. How could he possibly know that she, a complete stranger, would inexplicably impact his life and be with him forever, whether she was at his side or not?

To conclude this post, a few have the chance to win an autographed paperback (when you reside in the US) or a digital copy (worldwide), but the grand prize is a $25 Amazon Gift Card. Enter the Rafflecopter below to win.

Sir Poops and Hair Ball: He’s Baaaack

SPAL: The Glowstick is back for a couple of days.

IMG_0305

HB: Yay! We’re going to run around the house and make a lot of noise and eat kibble.

IMG_0301

SPAL: Oh brother.

IMG_0280

We’ll be back next week to report on this adventure with the Glowstick.

Mummsy will do her best to keep up reading everyones’ blogs.

Lots of Licks,

Sir Poops and Hair Ball: ISWG-Sometimes Life Gets in the Way

IMG_0375 SPAL: Good morning, nice people. We’ve been busy this last week.

HB: Yeah. We have.

SPAL: As I reported last week, I hid in my house for a few days. The Glowstick dominated our territory.

HB: Oh but it was fun! We played ball and ran though the house like maniacs.IMG_0351

IMG_0361

IMG_0349

SPAL: Yes. But Mummsy fell down the stairs trying to keep the Glowstick from falling. She hurt her left hand and bruised up her right leg, It’s still a little swollen down by the ankle and her hand is in a contraption.

HB: But it didn’t keep her down.

SPAL: No. It didn’t.

IMG_0338

Monday, they went to The Ringling Museum. From what we heard the Glowstick loved the statutes and the giant murals. Even though Daddy-O said he wouldn’t make it through without a meltdown, he did.

IMG_0344

After that, they went and had lunch with Grandpa and Auntie Summy-sum-a-lum.

IMG_0353

Tuesday, Mummsy and the Glowstick went to The Florida Aquarium. The little guy had a blast. But he did have a meltdown toward the end. He didn’t want to leave.

IMG_0364

Wednesday, they went to the park. But it was too wet for the Glowstick to run around.

IMG_0366

So they went to McDonald’s and he ate a biscuit, some eggs, and sausage. After, he played in the Play Place for a good hour. He had another meltdown when it was time to go.

IMG_0369SPAL: Hanging out with the Glowstick meant Mummsy didn’t get any writing time in. And it left me totally wore out trying to come up with creative ways to hide.

HB: Yeah. And the way The Salon scheduled her, all she could work on was other peoples’ edits.

SPAL: And her housework.

HB: But she did visit some blogs.

SPAL: The best time to do that is when the little guy was totally zonked out.

HB: Which wasn’t much.

IMG_0360SPAL: No. It wasn’t. When he was awake, he was seeking out what to ransack. Why he even climbed into my house with me and closed us in. He even tried to eat my cookie. But I was patient with him.

HB: Well, I had fun. He’ll back next week for two days. I can hardly wait.

SPAL: But Mummsy won’t get anything done when he’s here.

HB: Well, she did say she would try writing at the McDonald’s Play Place even if its for an hour.

SPAL: But she needs to finish Killer Stilettos. It will be noisy and full of other little Glowsticks.

HB: She will.

SPAL: But she hasn’t decided which ending to use.IMG_0370

HB: You mean, she’s written a couple of endings?

SPAL: She always does, stupid.

HB: Oh.

SPAL: Anyway, she admires the Mommy Writers out there and is in awe at how they can write and take care of their families. And today is Alex J. Cavanaugh’s Insecure Writer's Group. It’s a great group for writer’s who get to feeling like our Mummsy does right now. I would say Mummsy feels like pulling out her hair out right about now.

HB: Yeah. Life happens in small packages sometimes.IMG_0342

SPAL: Yeah. Well, our sister Tinkerbell better get her act together for this little guy. Poor thing is going from house to house for now.

How do the Mommys out there do it?

Lots of licks!

Hunka, Hunka Zombie Love from a Cat's Perspective

Hair Ball and I highly recommend you read the Supreme Protector of the Realm, a/k/a Tormentor of Dogs(that wouldn't be us since we're just fur-peeps), a/k/a Slayer of Mice, and the Ultimate Majestrix's post. She didn't seem too impressed with the Elvis Zombie. http://williamkendallbooks.blogspot.ca/2013/08/a-night-in-life-of-cat.html Lots of licks.

Wavy Lines: Monday Quote Day!

Here are some great quotes that Laura Marcella found. Enjoy!
