A Call For Books to Read

Good morning, bloggy friends. This morning I was going to post a character blog to Secondhand Shoes but time is escaping me again. And, I think I need to stare at pictures of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise for more inspiration(Tom Cruise is real fine now that he’s become a distinguished, older gentleman. I love his longer hair, too).

I’m also feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the different writers group I attend either in person and on-line. My heart is palpitating like it does when I read my to-do list. So I’ve got to come up with a plan to be able to stay in the loop without driving myself crazy. Anyone got suggestions how to handle this?

Plus, I made a commitment to read new author books and do reviews for them. However, I read around a hectic work schedule coupled with a finished MS in the throws of some serious editing and rewrites, which means there are times I fly through a book and other times I don’t. It sucks to be a human sometimes. Being a vampire would be so much better.

So, this is an open call for books to read. I want to read your books, people. In my comment area give me your title, please.

Right now I’m ten chapters into Beth Muscat’s book, Infinite. It’s the third book to her series, “Remember the Eyes.” When I’ve finished this one, I’ll be posting a review of all three.

Okay bloggy friends, post your titles in my comment area.

Shelly

  5. I don't care what anybody says, Tom Cruise is a hotty. I still love him from Interview with a Vampire. Sound like you have full plate. I don't have any books to offer for your read, but I will let you know if something pops up. :)

  6. I don't know how many writing groups you attend, but 2 is quite a lot in my experience. :) Maybe you should lessen the load, so that you'll have more time for yourself. :D After all, that was good advice you gave me about not overwhelming myself. :)

  8. To all: I'll be traveling a total of 24 hours when going overseas. I can read like the wind then. So please...I insist. Not to mention, the first day I'm in Israel, Sweetman will be having mouth surgery. I plan to be on sitting down at the beach. Come on guys?

    @Deb: Thank you.

    @Beth: Thank you.

    Anyway, you know what they say about getting anything done. Give it to a busy person.

  9. I know how you feel about that TBR pile. Mine keeps growing and I have been throwing in some reviews myself. Not something that I intended to do but it has happened. I will be reading a second book for one of my author friends. I read and reviewed her first one and now she has asked me to do the second one. Sometimes I am excited about it and sometimes I feel like I am under pressure to be as correct as possible about the book.

    Do what you can, in small blocks of time. Sometimes it at least makes us realize we have our toes in that door~ Take Care and thank you for your kind comments~ Yes, I'd like to be a vampire, especially today. It is going to be 97 today; heat index will feel like hell. I could be cold, feel like marble...yeah, sounds nice ;D.

    I do everything in either 15, 30 minute chunks or 2 hour chunks. It works for now.
