Want to Win Either a Starbuck’s or Amazon Gift Card…
Yesterday, I posted over at April Monroe's Blog. However, there are a few mistakes. Find them. Post them here along with what gift card you’d like. And I’ll put your name in a bowl and draw a name.
colorful, too (should read colors too) “do you read and review Indie authors”. (The D in do should be capitalized and a ? should be inside the quotes) Its amazing (It's as in it is)
Am I a good editor or what? ;)
I also saw a few deleted commas. It's a constant struggle between editors wanting to save money on ink by making punctuation optional and English teachers who say, "Not so fast."
I'd like the Amazon card too but wouldn't complain over a Starbucks card if that's all you had. Both would be fab!
I didn't see any mistakes but of course I wouldn't be looking for any. Thank goodness I have my own barista who grinds the beans and makes coffee right when I wake up. I'm soo spoiled!
Well, I'm going to assume that the Amazon card wouldn't work up here, and I'm not a fan of Starbucks (I'm more of a Timmie's girl myself)...However, what a great contest! And, a great idea!!
One, I'll name the winner this Friday. And yes...there were several mistakes. I thought it would be cool to get peeps over to April's blog by leaving the article as is and having this contest to test my peers editing skills.
You could win a 10 dollar Starbuck's or Amazon card. Forgot to mention that above. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteI like the Amazon gift card.
ReplyDeletefound the word grating
Aside from the font changing, there's one spot where there are two commas that aren't needed...
ReplyDelete"...taken the time to go through, the Four Agreements, again..."
And Amazon cards are always lovely.

I could have used some white space between the paragraphs for sure. :)
