Shelly's Got a Question

I was't going to post today, but I've got a question. Let me explain the scenario before I inquire.

I've discovered how easy it is to read other blogs through the Google Reader. There's no time wasted in getting them to download, and possibly freezing up your computer. I love it!

Also, there's a comment thingie. Love that, too, because there's no need to type a bunch of codes and so forth in. You just push the Share button and write your diddy, and after, press post. Wa-La!

However, I was wondering, do these comments show up on the actual blog page?

My curious mind would love to know.

Thanks,

Shelly

  2. Hey Jen:

Yeah, I was wondering about that. And, if someone were to comment on that thing, where would one go to read the comments? The google reader, perhaps?

    Investigating. Investigating.

  4. Hey, Mei-Mei:

Go to Dashboard on your blogspot.Scroll down to the blogs you follow. At the right hand corner in blue letters is your Google Reader. Click on that and answer any questions it may ask to register you.

  6. William, but what about the comments? Do they end up on our actual blogs or not. Still can't seem to find an answer.

  7. I don't know the answer to your question, but I prefer reading my blogs through the dashboard because it brings me back to the next one without too much hassle.

  8. I don't know--I only use Google Reader because the Dashboard keeps telling me I don't follow any blogs (yeah, right, Blogger!). :P Hope you find the answer you're looking for.

    New follower!

  9. I don't know Shelly...you left a comment on my blog today, did you do it through google reader? If you did it showed up on my post.

I have the same problem as The Golden Eagle, there's a lot of blogs I follow that don't show up on my dashboard either.

  11. I don't know. I used Goggle reader, added a comment on your post - I thought - it did say to share a comment. But where did it go? Is it following the yellow brick road (sorry - couldn't resist)? Keep in mind I am now deliriously tired and have no business responding to any questions...

  12. Hello all:

I see that we are all clueless. Well, at least we all in the same boat.

To Nikki: No I posted the regular way.

To Golden Eagle: Nice to meet you and thank you for the follow. I'll be visiting you.

    Have a good night all!

    Smiles and happy dances!

  13. It seems that the share button on Google Reader adds the blog post to your personal share page. Like you are sharing it with others. Sort of a favorites. That is what I get out of it. Hope that helps.

  14. That's a good question, so now I'll have to check out my Google Reader which I rarely use and see how it works on comments.

I'm still trying to visit all the blogs that participated in the A to Z challenge, and also apread the word that I'm going to give away a $25.00 gift certificate from amazon.com (to someone who leaves comments) if I reach 300 followers on my blog by May 14th. Find me here:

  16. I've never used the google reader..I just go through the dashboard to look at blogs..maybe I'll try it out..I also have blogs I follow that don't show up on my dashboard, and since that's what I look at, I sometimes forget about those ones...Happy Mother's Day!

  17. @Eve:

It's nice to read from it but I don't believe when I post a comment to it it shows up on the personal blog pages.

And, Happy Mother's Day to you, too.

    Thank you for stopping by.
